Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic Prediction

Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic Prediction 14.07.2023. By winning the Australian Open and French Open this year, Novak Djokovic became the player with the most Grand Slam titles, and this year’s Wimbledon edition is an opportunity for another record. He is a seven-time winner of tennis’ biggest tournament and if he wins again this year, he will equal Roger Federer’s record of winning the most title at Wimbledon – 8.

Nole will play against Jannik Sinner today for a place in the final, a player he knocked out here last year after five sets but now Jannik looks much better on grass and there is no doubt that we will have a great match and a great fight for the final.

Janik Sinner

Jannik Sinner is a 21-year-old player from Italy who has been among the top 20 players for several years and after several great tournaments this year he reached ninth place in the ATP rankings.

He is a player who has all the predispositions to be among the best on grass, many because of his style of play which made fans compare him to Roger Federer, but simply for serious results on this surface, every player must have a lot of experience.

This is also the biggest reason why Jannik did do anything special in the first few seasons of his professional career, but the quarterfinals of Wimbledon last year is the best indicator that he will be among the favourites at every grass tournament.

His season on grass didn’t start well, but at Wimbledon, he raised the level of play from match to match and without much difficulty reached the quarterfinals. He knocked out Cerundol, Schwartzman, Halys, Galan and Safiullin on his road to the semifinals with Novak.

In those matches everything worked great, he had a large number of winners, but so far he really didn’t have an opponent that could cause him problems.

Jannik has never beaten Novak. Last year he had a two-set advantage which was not enough for a victory but this year he looks much better on grass and will certainly fight a big battle on the Centre court with Novak today.

He is playing his first Grand Slam semi-final today and many think that will put a lot of pressure on him and that he will have a slow start to the match.

However, Jannik plays against Novak, plays a match in which he cannot lose much and will certainly enter maximally aggressively, risk a lot, have a large number of winners and be the biggest obstacle for Novak in the tournament so far.

Novak Djokovic

By winning the French Open this year, Novak Djokovic became the player with the most Grand Slam titles in the history of this sport and at this year’s Wimbledon he wants to win the eighth title here, which will equal him with Roger Federer.

He is a player who has won Wimbledon four consecutive times. His last defeat was against Berdych back in 2017 when he had to surrender the match due to injury. He is currently on a 36-game winning streak here which speaks volumes about his dominance on the grass in recent years.

Simply, Novak like this, who plays probably the best tennis in his entire career at Grand Slams, looks unbeatable at Wimbledon. Of course, there are several players of the new generation who could cause him problems, but there is a huge difference in the experience of playing on this surface and many tennis experts are of the opinion that he can lose only if he plays below his level.

From Djokovic, we are used to seeing his best games at Grand Slam tournaments and how the tournament goes and he knows to raise the level of play from match to match, which we watched at this year’s Wimbledon.

In the first round, he played against Cachin. It was his first match on grass this year, he did not play at his highest level but even with a below-par performance, he went on without losing a set.

In the second round, he didn’t have problems with Thompson, while the third round brought a match against Wawrinka, the player who repeatedly knocked him out of the Grand Slam tournament.

Still, there is a huge difference in the grass. Novak raised the level of his play and was convincing in the first two sets while winning the third after a big drama.

The round of 16 brought a clash with Hurkacz, who gave Novak the most trouble. Hubert served fantastically, as Novak himself stated that he doesn’t remember when he looked so helpless on the return.

He won only one break in that match, but Nole is a great champion who plays best when he is needed most. He saved three set points in the first set and won the second set after a big drama in the tie-break, which of course was an unattainable advantage for Hubert.

In the quarterfinals, Novak was set behind for the first time at this year’s Wimbledon. Rublev won the first set, after which Novak “shifted into higher gear” and by the end of the match dominated the exchanges from the baseline and with the exception of serve at 5:4 in the third set, he had no major difficulties.

Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic H2H

Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic have had three head-to-head clashes so far. All three were played on different surfaces and in all three Novak celebrated.

These players also met at last year’s Wimbledon when Novak managed to come from two sets behind and win a game in the quarterfinals and knock Sinner out of the tournament.

Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic Prediction

Novak Djokovic has lost a set to both Hurkacz and Rublev in the last two matches, but his victory in those matches was far from questionable.

At the moment he looks unbeatable on grass, a huge difference from previous years is his serve, which he uses much better and which makes a far greater difference than we are used to from him.

Jannik Sinner, on the other hand, had the easiest draw of all the participants in the semi-finals. He had only one opponent from the top 80 and easily walked to the semifinals.

We have an opinion that he is still not at the required level of play on grass with which he could hurt Novak and beat him.

But he will certainly put Novak under huge problems during the match. Last year he won two sets against Novak, and now he plays at a higher level on grass. We think that he will win at least one set, which will be enough for an over.
