Yannick Hanfmann has been performing the past couple of years, but has really struggled the past couple of months. The German has lost seven matches in his last nine, with many of those matches he really should be winning. He’s still searching for that first title win, and he came really close this year with two quarter-final appearances at Santiago and Rome, and one semi final appearance in Houston. Since he’s left the clay and come on the US hard courts this month, he hasn’t impressed. He lost his first match in Cincinnati against McDonald 7-5 6-1, and then lost to Juan Manuel Cerundolo in Winston Salem in three sets.

Jannik Sinner is one of my favorite players on the tour. He’s one of the favorites for this US Open title and would be his first ever Grand Slam victory. His best result at this Grand Slam was last year, where he reached the quarter-finals and narrowly lost to Alcaraz after being two sets to one up. This year, Sinner has really shown everyone that he belongs with the best. His semi final appearance at Wimbledon was impressive, and then he won his first ever Masters title a month later in Toronto, where he beat everyone with ease. He’ll really be hoping he can make a big run at this year’s US Open.
