Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva
Kasintseva is a player with enormous talent. She won her first ITF title (25k!) at just 16 years old in Brazil, where she beat Panna Udvardy in straight sets. In fact, she didn’t drop a single set that week. Fast forward a year later, and she’s now fighting to be inside the top 100 soon at just 17. She’s playing more tour-level matches, and has caused a couple of upsets. More notable in Seoul recently, where she reached the quarter finals at the WTA event beating Marino (6-4 6-2) and Paquet (6-2 6-2). Last year she fought hard on the clay courts, but this year she’s started to focus on her hard court game. And with a relatively impressive 19-9 record, she’s hoping she’ll be able to increase that this week at this ITF W100 event.

Aliona Bolsova
Bolsova is another player who holds some talent. Nine years ago she won her first ever ITF event at just 15 years old. Since then she’s won another 6 ITF titles, all of them being on clay apart from one which was back in 2014. She’s a clay court specalist, and the results back this up. She’s more than capable of upsetting players who are borderline tour level, but has struggled to make that jump to the tour herself.
