Olivia Gadecki has been fun ot watch for quite some time now. She made a big name of herself back in 2021, where she beat Sofia Kenin in three sets as a 8+ underdog in the Phillip Island Trophy WTA tournament. After that, she decided to go professionally abroad and won an ITF title for the first time in her career on the clay, before winning another on her favourite surface, hard courts. 2022 wasn’t as succesful, failing to win a title and only reaching two finals. But 2023 was different, and after reaching four ITF finals, she managed to win one on her fifth attempt in Portugal. This solidified herself inside the top 150, and a good run at the US Open could get her into the top 100 for the first time in her career.

Emina Bektas has really rose to fame, quite suddenly, this year. The 30 year-old didn’t really perform that well in her career, but she’s made some impressive runs in higher level tournaments causing some big upsets, which has earned her a career high ranking of 125. She’s won two ITF titles, as well as a quarter-final appearance in Hertogenbosch and a R16 appearance in Birmingham.
