Now she’s dropped from the top 10, and has struggled to get far in the Grand Slam’s this year. She exited the first round of the Australian Open, losing to Gracheva 6-1 6-1 where she was a 6.5+ underdog. In Rolan Garros, she exited in the round of 16. More recently in Wimbledon, she fell at the hurdle in the third round. She hopes she can make a much better run in the next couple of weeks.

This is Sofia Kenin’s first match since Wimbledon, where she impressed coming from the qualifying stages to get into the third round before losing out to Elena Svitolina. She beat Coco Gauff in the process in the opening round! She’s slowly building up her ranking again, and will hope she will return to the top 100 after this week. She’ll be praying she can get back to her peak level, with many people forgetting she’s actually a Grand Slam winner! Winning back in 2020 where she stormed her way to an Australian Open title.
