Cameron Norrie has had an okay year so far, winning one ATP title so far at Rio de Janeiro, where he beat Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The Brit, since that title win at Rio, has struggled to get far in most of the tournaments he’s participated in. His best result being at Lyon where he reached the semi final before losing to Cerundolo (he did get a bye in that tournament). The last time he’s strung more than three wins in a row was at Indian Wells, where he reached the quarter finals. He’ll be hoping to replicate, or even do a bit better, last year’s tournament where he reached the semi finals losing out to eventual champion Coric.

It’s great to see Gael Monfils back! He’s struggled this year, going 7-10 so far after taking some time off due to injury. He went on a four match losing streak at the start of 2023, before beating Evan Furness at the Ostrava challenger. He’s finally showing some promising signs the past couple of weeks, beating the likes of Bublik, Eubanks and Tsitsipas in Washington and Toronto. He lost to Sinner in the quarter-finals of Toronto last week, but did manage to grab a set of the Italian. The only player to do so in his title run!
