Borna Gojo will be hoping he can qualify for the US Open for the first time in his career. The closest he’s gotten was in 2022, where he reached the second round of qualifying. This year, he made his debut in the top 125 in January, and soon after broke into the top 105 in May. He has a potential of breaking into the top 100 for the first time in his career if he’s able to make a good qualifying run, as he doesn’t have any points to defend from last year.

Hamad Medjedovic has took this year by storm, going 34-17 so far this season, an impressive record. After spending many of his months playing on the ITF stage, he finally was able to show his skills in June last year and started playing Challengers. It didn’t take long for the Serb to win his first Challenger title, going from the qualifying stages to beating Zhang in the final at the Luendenscheid Challenger. He beat Jarry in the semi finals in that tournament! He’s a great clay court player, but is also very capable on hard courts. He showed that earlier this year, where he reached the semi finals of the Bangalore Challenger, losing to eventual Champion Max Purcell.
