Stockport is promoted from the National League last season as a champion. Over a decade ago they were in the third tier of English football but they slipped to the sixth tier. Firstly they were promoted to the fifth tier in 2019 and this year to League Two (the fourth tier).

But this season Sutton is much weaker because some great players leave the club. Two of the three top scorers leave the club. They don’t have luck with injuries, especially in defence, and with all that problems Sutton is currently in 15th place on the table which is good.
Sutton is in a terrible run of results. They won only one game from the last seven and they are one of the worst away-from-home sides in the division with only one win and five points won. They failed to score in 50% of away games this season (4/8).
