Norwich City Team News

After the bad run of results and six games without a win during October, Norwich has finally won a league game. On Saturday they beat Stoke City at home 3-1 and earn three very important points.

Because of the bad run of results, Norwich slipped from 2nd to 7th place on the table and now they are 5th with seven points less than leader Burnley.

For Norwich is important to keep a touch with the teams from above until the winter break because of the World Cup. In the next 10 days, they have two games at home against QPR and Middlesbrough and Rotherham away, it seems like a great opportunity to win points and to stay in the top 6.

This Norwich side was one of the favourites for the promotion straight back to the Premier League after relegation last season, but from the beginning, it was clear that they will not be as dominating as two years ago when they won the Championship.

Norwich is struggling more often, they started the season without a win in the first three games and after that, they were six games without a win. They kept only four clean sheets this season and only one in the last 10 games. The defence is the major problem because Norwich is conceding goals easily. They are allowing too many shots on goal, 153 total, and they are the sixth-worst team in the league in terms of that. Dean Smith, on the other hand, doesn’t have too many problems with the attack. His team scored 26 goals, which is the third-best record in the league, and failed to score in only three games.

QPR Team News

QPR is one of the huge surprises in the Championship this year. After finishing in 12th place last season they change the manager, style of play, and a couple of players. Michael Beale leave his job at Aston Villa’s staff and started his first managerial job. No one can predict where this QPR side will finish this season.

So far it’s perfect. QPR is 3rd on the table with 30 points, only five less than leader Burnley, and their manager Beale got recognition for the job he is doing. He was approached by Wolves and he turned down the job offer because he wants to stay at QPR.

QPR is a very interesting team to watch under Beale. They scored 25 goals and have the fifth-best attack in the league, they have 169 shots on goal, which is fourth-best in the league, and they are very solid away from home with four wins and 13 points.

Until the break, this is the hardest game for QPR. In the next two they will play at home against WBA and Huddersfield, the two teams from the relegation zone, and it’s key to avoid defeat at Carrow Road.

Same as Norwich, QPR also has little problems with their defensive record. They conceded 19 goals and 12 of which are conceded away from home. They kept only four clean sheets this season.

H2H

Since 2016 they played eight times. Norwich has five wins, QPR two, and one game was finished with a draw. Five games ended with over 2.5 goals. QPR is without a win at Carrow Road since 2008.

Team News and Injuries

Norwich City: Top scorer Josh Sargent and Dimi Giannoulis are injured. Adam Idah is also injured.

QPR: Tyler Roberts is injured. Jake Clarke-Salter and Jimmy Dunne are questionable.
