South East Melbourne Phoenix Team News
The South East Melbourne Phoenix started the new season decimated by injuries, which explains their poor results so far. Currently they own a 1-3 W-L record with their last two losses coming on the road to the Taipans and the Hawks.
Unfortunately for their team and head coach Mike Kelly, the Phoenix will still be without their premiere import player Tyler Cook for today´s game, while center Alan Williams continues with his rehabilitation. However, some injured players have made their return and the Phoenix already managed to win their sole home game of the season against Perth, so today they have a chance despite the injuries they are dealing with.

Unfortunately Tyler Cook will miss the JackJumpers clash with the same eye abrasion that kept him out against the Hawks. DP Austin Rapp will replace him.

Tasmania JackJumpers Team News
The Tasmania JackJumpers had a dream start to the new season once again proving they should be considered serious contenders. Head coach Scott Roth is again doing an excellent job with his team currently being at the top of the standings with a 3-1 W-L record, with the only loss coming in the season opener in the West against the powerful Wildcats side.
Following the opening defeat, the JackJumpers first managed to take down two championship contenders Sydney Kings and Melbourne United and then crowned their excellent form with a 30-point thrashing of the Illawarra Hawks couple of days ago. The JackJumpers are looking better than ever, but pulling off two wins at the John Cain Arena so early in the season will be quite a challenge even against a shorthanded Melbourne Phoenix side.

South East Melbourne Phoenix vs Tasmania JackJumpers Prediction
Even though the Phoenix are incomplete and in unstable form, they are much stronger at home court and have the potential to fight against the JackJumpers today. The bookmakers are relying too much on the form and the current placement of the guests, who are in our opinion being favoured too much, so we opted for the South East Melbourne Phoenix to cover the alternative point spread at home for more than solid 1.80 odds.
