Wrexham Team News

Wrexham was promoted from the National League last season, but they have a very strong team that has been immediately a promotion contender this season in League Two.

They have money, a reputation, and rich owners. Wrexham will play in the Championship in the next few years for sure.

The start of the season was slow, but as time passed they got better and better with each round. Now, they are 3rd in the table with 19 wins and 66 points. Mansfield is only three points above them in 1st place and they are 12 points above Wimbledon who is 8th, just outside the playoff zone.

Wrexham beat Accrington and Morecambe in the last two rounds and scored seven goals in those games.

In the next three rounds, they will play against Harrogate, Tranmer, and Grimsby, teams from the second part of the table and have a great opportunity to extend their good run and continue to push for a title.

Wrexham is the best home side in the league with 13 wins from 17 games and 41 points won. They have eight wins in the last nine home games and finished six games without conceding.

They failed to score in just one home game and kept seven clean sheets at home. With 67 goals scored only Mansfield and Stockport have better attacks in the league.

Harrogate Team News

A couple of weeks ago Harrogate was 6th in the table with hopes that they could finish in the top 7 and qualify for the playoffs, which would be an amazing result because no one could predict that they would fight for the top 7 before the season.

But since the middle of February, they have been without a win in the league and because of little difference in points dropped to 14th place. They are still only six points behind Gillingham in 7th place, but Harrogate is six games without a win.

In those six games, they conceded 18 goals which is concerning.

They have three consecutive games against the teams that are in the hunt for the promotion and those three games come up at bad times.

Against the teams from the top 12, Harrogate had 10 defeats in 18 games and most of the points they won against the sides from the second half of the table.

But still, these are fantastic results for them. This is their 4th season in League Two and before the season they were 2nd favourite for relegation from the league.

Ten games before the end of the season they are 19 points above the relegation zone.

Away from home, they are winless in four games.

Wrexham vs Harrogate Prediction

Wrexham is a huge favorite here. Harrogate is struggling and can’t follow the teams that fight for a place in the playoffs.

Wrexham have big ambitions and a strong team. They want promotion and they are in a good position to achieve it.

We think that they can win this game and stay in the top three.
