Switzerland Team News
Despite four draws in their last five matches in Group I, Switzerland are on the verge of qualifying for a third consecutive European Championship and knows they will secure their place at the next tournament in Germany if they take at least three points from their remaining two matches. Switzerland looked set to take maximum points at the Pancho Arena in Hungary thanks to a first-half strike from Ruben Vargas, but they missed several chances, including hitting the crossbar twice, while Shon Weissman scored an 88th-minute equalizer to steal a point for Israel.
Despite dropping two points against Israel, Switzerland climbed to the top of Group I with a better goal difference, ahead of Romania, and have just two days to prepare for the upcoming match against Kosovo, which has frustrated them in previous matches.
Switzerland’s Edimilson Fernandes is suspended after being shown a red card for a late start in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time against Israel, while Fabian Schär missed the midweek game through injury and is questionable for Saturday. The absence of Fernandes, as well as the injured Jordan Lotomba, leaves Switzerland with no options at right-back, so Manuel Akanji could play on the right flank of defense alongside Nika Elvedi, Cedric Zesiger and Ricardo Rodriguez.
Captain Granit Xhaka is likely to start in central midfield, while striker Xherdan Shaqiri will be hoping to return to the starting line-up after watching from the bench against Israel.

Kosovo Team News
After failing to win in the first six rounds of Group I, Kosovo later made it two straight wins against Andorra and Israel to stay in contention for a top-two spot. Milot Rashica scored twice in a 3-0 win against Andorra last month before the same player scored the only goal of the game in a narrow 1-0 win against Israel last Sunday.
Kosovo, which has never qualified for a major international competition in its short seven-year history as a FIFA member, is currently fourth in Group I with 10 points after eight games, two points behind third-placed Israel and six behind Switzerland and Romania in first and another place. Primoz Gliha’s side are aware they must travel to Basel and beat Switzerland to keep their Euro 2024 qualification hopes alive, and if they pull off an upset, they will likely have to beat Belarus in their final game next Tuesday.
Their all-time leading goalscorer, Vedat Muriqi, 26, had to withdraw from the squad after picking up a muscle injury in last weekend’s win over Israel. Muriqi’s absence is likely to result in Albion Rrahmani starting, with support from captain Rashica, who has been involved in six goals (three goals and three assists) in seven Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The midfield trio of Florent Muslija, Qendrim Zyba, and Florian Loshaj are likely to keep their places in the starting line-up, while Kreshnik Hajrizi will hope to replace Ilir Krasniqi and join Fidan Aliti and Lumbardh Dellova in the back three.

Switzerland vs Kosovo Prediction
Based on their previous duels, form, and more open football, we believe that both teams will score at least one goal in this match. Also, although Switzerland is the clear favorite in this match, we believe that it will not be so easy to win because Kosovo has always given them problems. Therefore, our betting suggestion is a home win or a draw, with both teams scoring.
