Millwall Team News

In almost every season, since they got promoted from League One in 2017, Millwall was finished in the top 12 in the table. This is their third season in the last four that they are in the fight for a place in the playoffs.

The last time that Millwall played in the Championship playoff was in the 2000/01 season, more than 20 years ago.

Right now, they are 6th in the table with 57 points and 16 wins after 36 games. They are in the top 6 zone, but Norwich in 7th is only two points behind, WBA in 8th is three points behind, and Coventry in 9th is four points behind.

So, 10 rounds before the season end they will have a very tough job of staying in the top 7. Millwall is in very inconsistent form for a long period of time but because most of the teams in the top half are also inconsistent they are still in a good position.

Millwall is without back-to-back wins since October. In the last 10 games, they have a 5-3-2 score. But, only five teams pick up more points than Millwall in the last two months.

This season, after 36 rounds, Millwall has more points than every other season in Championship in the last 10 years after 36 rounds. So, they are making continuous progress.

In the last 10 games, they kept three clean sheets and failed to score in only one game.

Millwall is very good at The Den, but in the last eight games, they have had five draws, two wins, and a defeat. They lose points too often.

Millwall is one very hard team, they played tight games, and they have a very good tactical coach in Gary Rowett.

Swansea Team News

This is another very disappointing season for Swansea City. They finished last season in 15th place and everybody has expected much better performances from them this season but after 36 rounds they are in disappointing 17th place in the table with 43 points.

Swansea is only five places and 11 points above the relegation zone. They are five games without a win and they have won only one point from the possible 15. In the last 10 games in all competitions, they have one victory.

One of the problems at this club is the board. Steve Cooper leaves the club in the summer of 2021 because the board doesn’t want to sign new players. Russell Martin, who is one of the most talented managers in England, comes in and he also has problems with the board.

During the January transfer window, Swansea didn’t sign any new players and Russell Martin was furious. And they let Michael Obafemi leave the club for Burnley. Swansea is struggling so much because of the injuries and the short rooster and the decision to not sign players in January was shocking.

Swansea is in the worst form in the league in the last month and a half. In the last 20 games, since the end of October, only three teams have won fewer points.

They failed to keep a clean sheet for 11 consecutive games and they failed to score three times in the last 10 games.

Swansea is struggling with defence too much and they have conceded 55 goals. Only Wigan has a worse defensive record. They have only two clean sheets away from home.

Millwall vs Swansea Prediction

Millwall is a much better team this season. They are a team that is very hard to beat with Gary Rowett and they are in a very good position to catch the playoff this season.

Swansea is struggling. They are very weak, they made the mistake no to sign anyone in the January transfer window, and the situation in the club is not positive at the moment.

Millwall is simply in a much better position right now and we believe that they can win here.
