The Beermen were not looking like the defending champions during most of the regular season. Everything changed in the last couple of weeks with the playoffs arriving as the return of their two key contributors, Terrence Romeo and June Fajardo, couldn´t have come at a better time.
The presence of these players has turned the tables completely. During the elimination stage, the Beermen were averaging around 106 ppg without two of their key pieces, but averaged 10 points more with two of them on floor in the quarters clash against Converge.
Bay Area had their way with the heavily undermanned Beermen in the early season head-to-head duel winning by a margin of 26 points(113:87), but this semifinal should be something completely different.

As expected, the Bay Area Dragons didn´t even break a sweat in their quarters matchup against Rain or Shine.
