After taking a prolonged 8-day break, the Magnolia Hotshots will be fresh and ready as they attempt to rebound against the Bolts. With only two games remaining on their schedule and Ginebra and Converge hot on their heels, Timplados will most probably have to take down both the Bolts and Rain or Shine in order to secure the twice-to-beat advantage.
Despite losing the heavyweight clash against the star-studded Bay Area Dragons, the Hotshots fought valiantly. The Dragons broke away in the third frame and were up by as much as 17 points, but the Hotshots simply would not go away and almost completely turned the game around.
Their fourth quarter performance from that match should serve as a morale boost as they tackle the surging Meralco Bolts.

Even though the Bolts currently sit in 9th place, they look poised to finish inside the top 8. The Meralco Bolts have had a magical turnaround with their recent 3-game winning streak and are the only team with three more games left on the schedule.
