The PBA Commissioner´s Cup couldn´t come any sooner for NorthPort. After struggling in the recent PBA Cup, they brought back their old import and go-to guy Prince Ibeh, who enabled them to finish in second place in the previous edition of the competition.
He was one of the main architects of their unbelievable comeback in the opener against the Fuel Masters. It seemed the game was over after the first quarter when they were down by 19 points, but Ibeh, Robert Bolick and new reinforcement from Ginebra Arvin Tolentino had other ideas. In the end, NorthPort narrowly escaped the undermanned Phoenix Fuel Masters and will be riding a lot of momentum against the juggernaut from China.
