IEM Dallas 2022 Predictions & Preview
This LAN tournament is the next one up after the PGL Major, and we are excited to watch some Counter-Strike again. There is a total of 16 teams in this LAN tournament competing with a prize pool of $250.000. These 16 teams are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B.
Group A consists of: FaZe, LookingForOrg, Astralis, Vitality, G2, Movistar Riders, Mouz, and Ence.
Group B consists of: Furia, Imperial, Liquid, Cloud9, NIP, BIG, Heroic, and Complexity.
The opening matches will best of 1’s, however, the rest of the games will be in best of 3 format. This tournament is also a double-elimination tournament, so that means if you lose your opening match, you still have a chance by playing from the lower bracket and working your way up.
*BIG and Movistar Riders replace NaVi and Entropiq.
*Snax to step in for Spinx for Ence.
*ZTR to step in for Hampus for NIP.

Mouz vs Ence
Ence will be playing with Snax instead of Spinx this tournament, so this is a massive downgrade for Ence. Spinx is their best player and Snax coming in will be worse because he’s not what he used to be years ago and he also doesn’t play as much. He’s still a good player, however, playing without your best player will impact your game a lot. Mouz haven’t exactly had the best results either, but playing against a team with a stand-in here should hopefully seal the deal in this game.

BIG vs NIP
Same situation here with the Mouz – Ence game, NIP will be without Hampus this tournament, while ZTR will step in. ZTR is an AWPer (sniper) while Hampus is in game leader (a guy that calls strats and manages the team in game). Losing your in game leader will impact your game a lot, where on the Terrorist side (attack side), they’ll have a different in game leader giving whole different calls which means it will impact the way they play. BIG haven’t exactly had the best results either, however if they don’t show up this event it’s almost time to do roster changes as they’re not really delivering. Either way, we are playing the value here against a team with a stand-in player.
