David Goffin
The Belgian is playing very well this season and he has been recording his best results in the last four years. The rise in his form started at Roland Garros, where he won two matches, after which Hubert Hurkacz defeated him in the third round.
Although he played only one match on grass this season, losing to Daniil Medvedev in the first round in Halle, the lack of appearances did not negatively affect the quality of his performances.
David Goffin was better than Albot, Baez, Humbert, and Tiafoe, and the fact that he beat players of different profiles best shows how well he plays at Wimbledon. Albot and Humbert are good servers and are especially dangerous on this type of surface, while Baez is a real fighter and very difficult to get out of rhythm.
The cherry on top of the cake was the fourth-round clash against Tiafoe, who is a versatile player and hits the ball quite hard. But the Belgian was calmer and more focused than the American and deservedly advanced to his second quarter-final at this tournament in his career. Goffin last played at the third Grand Slam of the season in 2019 and then also placed among the top eight, where he was defeated by Novak Djokovic.

Cameron Norrie
Cameron Norrie is the only Brit who was not eliminated from this year’s Wimbledon, so the local public will follow this match with special attention. The ninth seed also played well in this tournament last year, but Roger Federer was better than him in the third round.
Before the start of this year’s competition, he achieved only one victory on grass in the current season. Norrie defeated Brandon Nakashima in Eastburn but was eliminated by Maxime Cressy in the second round. In a tournament before that, at Queen’s Club, Grigor Dimitrov was better than Norrie already at the start of the tournament.
But, apparently, the Brit saved his best games for the biggest stage. He defeated Andujar-Alba, Munar, Johnson, and Paul on his way to his first Grand Slam quarterfinal. He only had bigger problems against Munar in the second round because he was losing 2-1, but he managed to get through.
Norrie was particularly impressive against Paul in the fourth round. The American has been playing brilliantly on grass this season and there were doubts whether Norrie could beat him, but Cameron did so without dropping a set.
