Tommy Paul
Tommy Paul has never gone further than the second round of Wimbledon in his career, but he can hope for the best result so far because of the way he played ahead of this tournament.
He first participated in the tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where he was defeated by Brandon Nakashima 1-2, and the result of all three sets was decided in a tie break. He then visited London, where he eliminated Denis Shapovalov (2-0) and Stanislas Wawrinka 2-1 at the Queen’s Club, and was eliminated by Berrettini 0-2 in the quarterfinals, who later won the trophy.
His last participation was also in England, in Eastbourne. Paul also reached the quarterfinals there. After beating Cerundolo and Sinner, both 2-1, De Minaur was better than him with an identical score.
Tommy Paul defeated veteran Fernando Verdasco at the start of Wimbledon 3-0 (6-1, 6-2, 7-6) easily and convincingly. It was not a difficult task for the American player, since the Spaniard is 38 years old. But, this triumph is a new confirmation of his good form on grass and will additionally motivate him to continue playing well.

Adrian Mannarino
While the American overcame the first hurdle at Wimbledon quite easily, the experienced Adrian Mannarino struggled a lot to get to the second round. He defeated the little-known Australian Max Purcell, who played in the qualifiers, 3-2 after nearly four hours.
The French player served very inaccurately, which the opponent often used, and Mannarino had to save as many as 22 break points in the entire match. This does not happen often to the Frenchman.
He has to play much better in the second round because he will have a player against him who is in good shape and whose self-confidence is at a really high level.
