The American has had an average year and will be glad to leave her grass season after losing five matches on the bounce (Rodionova, Bencic, Errani, Dart, and Davis). She enjoyed limited success on the hard courts earlier this year, with her best win coming against Anisimova in Dubai. Though she hasn’t gone past R16 in any of the WTA tournaments this year.
