Jack Draper
Jack Draper has had some year in 2022. He’s won four challenger tournaments, and has upset many players over the course of the year. These include Felix Auger Aliassime recently at the US Open, where he beat the Canadian in straight sets 6-4 6-4 6-4. He’s also beat Tsitsipas and Monfils at Montreal. Draper will be raring to go in these indoor conditions. His enormous serve and tremendous return game is perfect for these conditions, and we saw that earlier this year with all his Challenger titles.

Jenson Brooksby
Brooksby had an outstanding year in 2021, and did folow it up with some impressive wins in 2022 but has struggled recently at times. He does enjoy these indoor conditions, and showed that earlier this year when he reached the final of Dallas losing to Opelka. But his form has been off, and has lost to players he really should be beating like O’Connell, McDonald and Nishioka. He will find it tough against Draper, but will be hoping he can turn his form around against the Brit.

They pair have faced each other once at Eastbourne earlier this year, where Draper won 6-2 6-2.
Prediction
This will be a tight match, and Bet365 are currently giving us great odds for the match to go three sets. With that being said, I feel like Draper does have the upper hand here. Brooksby doesn’t have a huge serve which can bail him out of tricky situations, and has been conceding a very high number of break points against players which haven’t got the best return game. Draper’s huge serve and elite level return game will trouble Brooksby heavily.
