Anna Bondar
2021 was the year for Anna Bondar, and November was her month! She beat Diane Parry in the final (and Mayar Sherif in the semi final, a very solid clay court player) of the Argentina Open to win her first WTA (125) title. Later that same month, she won the $60K Santiago to secure her debut into the top 100.
With Bondar breaking into the top 100, she started playing on the WTA tour a lot more this year. She holds a 15/4 record on clay so far this season, losing to very good opponents (Badosa, Kudermetova, Kasatkina, and Sherif). She was truly unplayable towards the end of the 2021 season, where she jumped 183 places that year.
She has started off this WTA Challenger in a dominant fashion, beating Pigossi and Papadakis (as expected) in straight sets – losing just 10 games in those two matches.
A first-ever tour-level QF for 🇭🇺 Anna Bondar is sealed with an ace! 😎

Olivia Gadecki
Olivia Gadecki, a name you may remember from 2021 where she beat Sofia Kenin (@ 9.00 odds). She kicked off her professional career outside of Australia soon after that win. Playing numerous ITF’s in Sharm El Sheikh and Antalya. Since then she has had two ITF titles to her name, where she reached a career-high of 160 place on the WTA list.
Gadecki has enormous power and forward play. Her style suits very well for grass and hard courts, though clay is a different story. Despite this, she has had a couple of impressive wins on the clay. Most recently against Shnaider and Jacquemot – however when watching her it’s still very clear she’s not fully comfortable on the surface compared to her favorite hard courts. Her rally tolerance is still very raw, and in these courts, it should get exposed by Anna Bondár.
Simply sensational 🙌

Anna Bondar vs. Olivia Gadecki Prediction
Despite an impressive showing from Gadecki against Jacquemot in her previous match, I can’t see Anna Bondar struggling against the Australian. Olivia Gadecki will get a few free points with her powerful serve, but once the rallies kick in, she will struggle. My only worry is occasionally Bondar seems to struggle on the big points, but her consistency, precision, and her physical condition should win her the match. With the handicap only being -3.5, this is showing some real value.
