New York Rangers vs. New York Islanders Prediction, Tips & Odds – Apr. 02, 2022
Another Battle of New York will take place tonight in the legendary Madison Square Garden as the Rangers and the Islanders meet for the second time inside just two weeks. The Islanders were victorious in the previous head-to-head game so the Rangers will be motivated to exact revenge and to take advantage of their excellent form to keep themselves close to the top of the Eastern Conference.
They are currently trying to keep up with the second-placed Carolina Hurricanes and also take over the top spot from them in the Metropolitan Division. In order to improve their offensive production they made some moves just before the trade deadline bringing in Frank Vatrano and Andrew Copp who are already proving their worth.
The Rangers are one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment with an impressive 11-4-0 record in March. Along with their offense becoming more deadly, they can always rely on their goaltender Igor Shestyorkin who is enjoying the season of his life conceding only 2.1 goals per game with a stunning 93% save percentage.

Rangers´ biggest city rivals won two back-to-back games against the Blue Jackets after suffering two straight defeats recently. This kind of unstable form has been the norm this season for the Islanders as they are currently positioned in the middle of the Eastern Conference at ninth place. They will be looking for a repeat of their win over the Rangers two weeks ago but they will be facing a tough task as their primary option in goal Ilya Sorokin will remain out because of an upper body injury

Substitute Semyon Varlamov has been able to cover for his absence in their recent two wins over Columbus but he still conceded a total of five goals against an average mid-table team. The Rangers are flying high at the moment and hold a clear advantage in the goalie department so we feel that should get them over the line along with the home advantage.
New York Rangers vs New York Islanders Prediction
Even though the Islanders have been playing well lately, this will be their third game in just four days. With their newest reinforcements home team´s offense is at a very high level and should prove too much for the exhausted Islanders who will be without their main netminder.
We like the 3way odds for the Rangers to win and expect them to take care of the game in regulation.
Pick: 1×2 – New York Rangers
