Minnesota Wild vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction, Tips & Odds – Apr. 01, 2022

NHL has a special treat in store for us tonight with two of the best teams in the league clashing in the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul. Minnesota Wild are in superb form at the moment and will try to take advantage of their impressive 7-game winning streak to get the better of the Pittsburgh Penguins whose performances have been unstable recently.
Minnesota are having an excellent season and look all set for the playoffs currently sitting at third place in the Western Conference. Their success has been fueled by a very productive offense that is averaging over 3.5 goals per game led by one of the league´s most dangerous scorers Kirill Kaprizov. On the other hand, their defense hasn´t been so sound but during their recent winning streak they only allowed 10 goals throughout seven games. That has been more than a pleasant change when we take into consideration they have been conceding over 3 goals per game this season. However, facing one of the most efficient teams from the Eastern Conference their old defensive woes could come to bite them again today.
Sidney Crosby, who can appear in a maximum of 70 games this season, has clinched his 17th-consecutive point-per-game season with his 70th point of the year.

The Penguins are enjoying a very solid season so far as they look to build off of their current fifth place in the East. Led by one of the best ever hockey players Sydney Crosby they are averaging close to 3.5 goals per game. In difference to the Wild their defense has been much better and more consistent giving away only 2.5 goals per game with a very stable goaltender in Tristan Jarry.
Biggest problem for Pittsburgh tonight will be the fact their recent defensive form has been pretty poor. In addition, they are facing a team that is much faster than them so they could get overrun but could keep themselves in the game with their dominant offense.
Minnesota Wild vs Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction
It should be an interesting and exciting game with two teams whose offenses definitely have something to offer. In this season´s first head-to-head game last November Minnesota escaped with a narrow 5:4 win after penalties tying the game with just seconds left on the clock.
The Wild have improved defensively over the last two weeks but we think that will count for nothing against the mighty offense of the Penguins which scored an incredible 11 goals against Detroit two rounds ago. Detroit were annihilated by 11:2 in Pittsburgh´s first 11-goal game in almost 30 years so the Penguins should definitely have something left in the tank for today´s game.
