Last season, Dinamo Zagreb won one of the most difficult titles in last decade. Hajduk and Osijek were good competitors until the very end. For last few years, Lokomotiva is considered as fifth best club in Croatia. In 2020, they made a historic result when they finished in second place in the domestic league. However, they didn’t convert it into a good result in Europe. In the past, unofficially, this club was Dinamo Zagreb reserve team, but this is no longer the case.
There are several veterans in squad, and the most experienced one is captain Josip Pivaric. This left back was part of the Croatian national team that played in the World Cup final back in 2018.
