Ipswich Town Team News
Ipswich Town invested a lot of money into the squad last summer 2021 but results were very poor and they sacked the manager. Kieran McKenna took the job in December last year and completely change the style of play and results. Ipswich finished the season at 11th place in the table but this summer McKenna signed players that he wants and Ipswich is the much better team this season and one of the favourites for the title and promotion.
Currently, they are leading League One with seven points after three rounds and the numbers that they have been impressive. Ipswich has the largest ball possession per game (60.3%), the largest number of accurate passes per game (409), they have the most shots on goal (43) and they allowed only 10 shots to their opponents.
Ipswich has a very good schedule in the next couple of weeks with games against Burton, Shrewsbury, Accrington, and Cambridge. They can be in a very good situation at the start of September if they pick up the highest possible points.
