Tomorrow starts the big event that we’ve been waiting for. The Six Major is played on LAN with the best teams from all 4 regions, APAC, Europe, Latin America and North America. The Groups are divided in 4 groups with 4 teams each and every team is from a different region, which makes this extremely entertaining. They will also play 2 matches against each other, and top 2 from each group will advance to the playoffs.
The event takes place in Berlin and it’s hosted by Ubisoft which is the company that made Rainbow6 the game. The prize pool is $500K so there’s big stakes on the line, also winning a major is the biggest achievement one can have in Rainbow6, so this will be a banger of a week. All group play matches are best of 1.

Monday will feature about 16 games, where all are best of 1’s and there will be 2 games at the same time on Rainbow6 A and B stream. This will go on for a week and we can imagine that group play is only for the first 3 or 4 days, then they’ll get a rest day before they move onto playoffs. The weekend should be the playoffs, and all matches will then be best of 3.
There are some teams that did not make it such as: DarkZero (previous champions), BDS, SSG, TeamOne, TSM etc and that’s because they didn’t qualify, so a roster changes could be on the table for those teams unless they decide to run it back again.
