During the summer, almost all important players from last season left Zenit. Kevin Pangos has gone to the NBA, Austin Hollins to the Red Star, Tarik Black is still without a club, and Will Thomas and KC Rivers are no longer there. Zenit is not playing in ideal form, they are prone to defeats lately and Maccabi could take advantage of such a situation to finally register a triumph in the Euroleague.
