Taranaki Airs Team News
After the introduction of their new American import Shaun Willett and the return of their starting centre Tai Wynyard from the 3×3 World Cup, the Airs are flying again. They had a very tough start playing with a very weak team with only domestic players but then signed some prolific foreign scorers who got their team going.
The American duo of Douglas-Hilliard came after a couple of rounds when the team was struggling and immediately turned things around. With their most recent American addition, Taranaki now have even more offensive weapons and showed it in their last game taking down the reigning champions away from home.
Just a day before they beat the Saints in Wellington, they had too much in the locker against the league leaders Nelson who also failed to keep up with their new-look team. With these two away wins the Airs have announced themselves as potential title contenders and from now on should be extremely tough team to beat.
The Taranaki Airs pick up a 2nd road win this weekend with a 111-105 win over the Saints in Wellington.

Franklin Bulls Team News
Playing without their biggest star didn´t prevent the Bulls from achieving a very important home win last weekend. The Canterbury Rams were heavily undermanned without two key starters and couldn´t keep up with the Bulls and their newest import addition Giddy Potts.
Franklin were without their superstar and game changer Corey Webster, who was playing for New Zealand in the FIBA qualifiers, but had enough to secure a routine home win over the Rams. After their heavy 28-point loss in Wellington two rounds ago, it was a much-needed win that kept them close to the top and inside the playoff zone.
Their main leader now returns and will make them much more dangerous. However, they can´t enter the game as favourites because the Airs have started playing at a very high level and have a formidable home record. Actually, they are the best home team in the league at the moment so Webster and his team will have to play at an elite level to have a chance.

Taranaki Airs vs. Franklin Bulls Prediction
Both teams have made roster changes in the middle of the season that improved their form and overall quality. It will be a direct playoff clash with high stakes as both teams can fortify their playoff positions with a win but it seems the Bulls are having some major roster issues with absent and questionable players.
For now two of key players are already out because of international duties while several other starters are questionable. If some of those players are out along with the ones that are already missing, then they could be in serious trouble. Overall, even with the current situation they will have a harder time than usual competing away from home so we will back the Airs to cover the spread.
