South East Melbourne Phoenix Team News

One of the reasons why the Phoenix suffered an embarrassing blowout loss to their biggest rivals in the Throwdown game were the absences of their experienced leaders Ryan Broekhoff and Kyle Adnam.

They were expected to play, but were ruled out minutes before the game due to covid and a hamstring injury. The Phoenix should have done better despite these absences, but nevertheless suffered their biggest loss of the season so far.

Simon Mitchell´s side will welcome back both of those players today, but will be without the services of their secret weapon off the bench, Chinese center Qi Zhou, who is still dealing with a calf injury.

In our opinion, the South East Melbourne Phoenix have a solid opportunity to rebound today with two of their stars returning to the lineup. We agree that the hosts should be favourites, but a +3 Phoenix spread for 1.80 odds is a must to try.
