Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics G5 Prediction, Tips & Odds – Jun. 14, 2022 03:00 CET

This series is currently tied 2-2. This is an advantage for the Golden State Warriors because Game 5 and Game 7 will be played at home if it were to go that far. The Boston Celtics have to steal a game away and also win at home which will be Game 6. Steph Curry has currently been cooking and he’s the favorite for finals MVP if the Warriors end up winning the ring. On the other hand, Jayson Tatum has been underperforming this series which is the reason why this is tied. The role players on the Celtics have stepped up and Jaylen Brown has been the best player on their team. If Jayson Tatum doesn’t step up, the Celtics are going to lose this final.
Golden State Warriors
The Boston Celtics have a deeper rotation, more weapons in offense, better team defense, and generally look like a better team in NBA Finals than the Golden State Warriors. But the Warriors have Steph Curry, a champion mentality, and a lot of experience. Those three things were the key to a win in game number four in “TD Garden”. Klay Thompson doesn’t have the speed he used to, but he is still able to hit tough shots in crucial moments and he is not afraid to attack the hoop in certain situations. Draymond Green was probably the one who failed the most in the Warrior’s starting lineup. His performance in offense is non-existent and head coach Steve Kerr even decided at some important moments to leave him on the bench, despite his huge contributions on the defensive end. To win in Boston, Warriors needed someone to help Curry and Thompson in offense and that was Andrew Wiggins. He scored 17 points and had 16 rebounds in game number four. The Warriors have regained home court advantage and they will now have a chance to take 3-2 lead which would bring them just one step away from winning the title.

Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics had an amazing opportunity in game number four. Had they won, they would have a 3-1 lead in NBA Finals and itβs hard to imagine this team would allow the Golden State Warriors to make a comeback. However, shot betrayed them in the fourth quarter and the score is 2-2 now. To win the title for the first time since 2008, the Celtics will have to win again in San Francisco, and the good thing for them is that they won a lot of important games on the road in this playoffs, including those in Brooklyn, Milwaukee, and Miami. In the first three games (especially in game number three), the Celtics dominated in rebounds, but the Warriors found a way to fix that and fully won that battle in game number four. Now, Celtics head coach Ime Udoka will be the one who will have to find a way to adjust. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown played solidly in game number four, but to win it is necessary for one of them to score over 30 points which was not the case this time. Derrick White had a big contribution from the bench, Marcus Smart played great also, but it wasn’t enough to win. A superstar performance is necessary, and Steph Curry had that effect on Friday night.

H2H
After four games have been played in the NBA Finals, the score is 2-2. Twice these teams met in the regular season as well and it was 1-1, so the overall H2H is 3-3 this season. In the playoffs so far, the Warriors are 10-1 at home, losing only one game against the Celtics in this series. The Celtics have an impressive 8-3 record on the road, and they never lost twice on the road in the same series. They were defeated once in Milwaukee, Miami, and San Francisco.
Injuries
James Wiseman is out for the Warriors for a long time and he’ll be back next season.Β The Celtics have all players available for game number five.
Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics Prediction
Our prediction for this game is Jayson Tatum over in player totals. He covered this line 1 out of 4 times, however, we don’t think he’ll have another bad shooting night especially when the stakes are this high. He’s attempting a lot of shots so that’s great, however, they gotta start to fall soon or it’s over for the Celtics. In the last game, he attempted 23 shots so if he keeps it around that area, we believe this bet will come in.
