Lietkabelis
For the second time in the club’s history, Lietkabelis advanced to the Lithuanian League finals. They did it the first time in 2017 when they were defeated by Zalgiris in the final series, and now they have managed to take revenge on Zalgiris in the semifinals this year. In that way, it will happen for the first time since 2010 that the club from Kaunas won’t be the champion, and for the first time in the history of Lithuania, Zalgiris did not make it to the finals. That says enough about the result Lietkabelis made in the semifinals. Overall, this is the best season in the history of this club. They had some impressive wins in the Eurocup as well. In Panevezys, they defeated this season teams such as Partizan, Joventut, Metropolitans, and Andorra, and they also played a quality game against Virtus in Bologna in the Eurocup round of 16. The most deserving of such results and success is Serbian head coach Nenad Canak. He reacted furiously in the last game after one referee’s decision, which is why he was excluded, and then he got into a physical and verbal conflict with the opposing head coach and one of Rytas chairmen. All this additionally warmed up the already hot atmosphere before the fourth game.

Rytas
Between 2004 and 2014, Rytas was either a participant in the Euroleague or one of the main favorites to win the Eurocup. After that, the club experienced a serious decline and for several years they are not even close to the top of European basketball. However, thanks to the elimination of Zalgiris in the Lithuanian League semifinals, Rytas came in a situation to win the domestic championship for the first time since 2010. In Europe, they were eliminated from FIBA Champions League top16, which is below what they expected. Looking at the quality of the team, Rytas is not much better than Lietkabelis, but they have shown a much better game in the previous two games and deservedly currently lead 2-1 in this final series. Rytas’s greatest strength is an excellent shot for three points, and the best player this season is Croatian power forward Ivan Buva. Impressively, Rytas has won both previous games without Buva who is injured. This gave the other players a chance to come to the fore and they took advantage of that.

H2H
This is the eighth time this season that these teams are playing against each other and Rytas is leading 4-3. The only thing that really matters is Rytas 2-1 lead in this final series, which is played in the best of 7.
Injuries
Both coaches should have all players available for this game. Rytas power forward Ivan Buva missed last two games in this series due to injury, but he is probable for fourth match.
Prediction
Lietkabelis has shown a much better game than Rytas throughout this season and is a bit of a surprise their poor performance in the previous two games. After the incidents that happened in game number three, it is to be expected that Lietkabelis will wake up and achieve a win in front of his fans and thus equalize this series to 2-2.
