Illawarra Hawks Team News
As a reserve team of the top-tier Illawarra Hawks, it is no wonder the Hawks were dominating the league led by their unstoppable American scorer Kiwi Gardner. Gardner was averaging ridiculous numbers and his team was easily winning games but couple of rounds ago he got injured.
Without his presence their performances have dipped and their downfall should continue today because in addition to being without their best player, the Hawks will also not be able to count on their second-best and former top-tier player Lucas Walker. He is representing Australia at the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup so his team could have serious problems as they welcome the Bruins without two key pieces.

Bankstown Bruins Team News
At the start of the season the Bruins were one of the weakest and most inexperienced teams but went throught a complete change couple of games ago. They decided to massively improve their roster with two new names: Dragan Elkaz from the NCAA and Lachlan Anderson from top-tier Lithuanian team Jonava.
These players have been making all the difference and winning games for their club. They got the better of the main title favourites Canberra Gunners away from home in their debut and then took down the Sutherland Sharks last weekend at home. If these new players arrived sooner, who knows where the Bankstown Bruins would be at the moment.
It seems they can now possibly even compete for the title with their current roster and should be able to take advantage of the roster problems the Hawks are experiencing.

Illawarra Hawks vs. Bankstown Bruins Prediction
The Bruins are clear favourites heading into the game but we think we can expect a routine and convincing win by them close to around 10 points so the spread should be higher. The Hawks are in trouble and will not be able to count on two of their best players while the Bruins are in excellent form with two new additions who are dominating. That is why we decided to back the guests to cover the spread.
