Georgia

Since 2011, Georgia has participated in every Eurobasket, and in September they will be one of four hosts of this tournament. They have never participated in the World Cup and these qualifiers are probably their best chance. In the next group, they will compete against Italy, Iceland and Netherlands, and they can defeat each of these teams. Spain

Spain has done a perfect job in qualifiers so far. They won all four games by double digits and took a huge step towards qualifying for the World Cup. Head coach Sergio Scariolo doesn’t have the option to use Spain’s best players. Because of that, players who almost certainly won’t play for Spain at Eurobasket or World Cup get a chance to play for the national team. Quino Colom and Dani Diez are the only players with Euroleague experience. The rest of the squad is mainly made up of players from Valencia, Joventut and Unicaja. Some of them are Xabi Lopez-Arostegui, Joel Parra, Dario Brizuela, Ferran Bassas and Jaime Pradilla. Looking at the best players in both teams, the best three are coming from Georgia (Bitadze, Shermadini, and Shengelia), but Spain can use all 12 players at some point in the game. Georgia doesn’t have quality on the bench, and that’s certainly the way for Spain to beat them.
