Fuenlabrada vs. Breogan Prediction

After 17 years of playing in the Endesa League, Fuenlabrada is on the verge of relegation. They need to win twice in the last two rounds, and the first rival on that road is Breogan.

For the past 15 years, Fuenlabrada has been a club that has mostly fought to avoid relegation in Endesa League. In the 2014/2015 season, they finished in last place, but no club from Leb Oro met the conditions for entering Endesa League, so Fuenlabrada magically avoided relegation. There seems to be no salvation this season. They need to win in the last two rounds to have any chance of finishing in 16th place. The first task will be to defeat Breogan and if they succeed in that, they will play in a direct clash against Burgos for survival in the last round. Fuenlabrada has the most problems this season in defense, as they are by far the worst team in the entire league in that segment.

On average, they allow opponents 87.7 points per game, which is unacceptable for this level of competition. Throughout the season, Fuenlabrada offensively did not have a real playmaker, so Lamar Peters, a former Baskonia player, was recently signed. Obi Emegano and Leonardo Meindl are two players on whom offense depends a lot, while Kwan Cheatham and Kyle Alexander are starting on frontcourt positions.

Breogan is the most pleasant surprise of the Endesa League this season. They won Leb Oro last year and thus won the promotion. Everyone expected them to fight to avoid relegation in the Endesa League, but that was never the case. Breogan finished the first part of the season in the top 8 which brought them qualification for Copa del Rey where they lost in the quarterfinals against Real Madrid. The most important player for the great results of this club was Dzanan Musa. Until the injury, he averaged over 20 points per game. After unsuccessful episodes in NBA and Anadolu Efes, Musa found the right place for his progress, and Breogan profited from his talent.

Trae Bell-Haynes is starting point guard and the player with the most assists per game and among important players are also Marko Lukovic, Rahid Mahalbasic and the excellent shooter Tyler Kalinoski. Breogan still has theoretical chances to play in the playoffs, but they need a lot of results to go in their favor because they have weaker H2H than Bilbao and Murcia.

Two rounds before the end of the regular season, Fuenlabrada is in last place at 10-22. Andorra and Burgos have an identical record. Breogan is currently in 11th place at 15-17. Fuenlabrada made 9 of their 10 wins at home, while Breogan is 4-12 on road. In their first mutual game in the season, it was 97:89 for Breogan.

Christian Eyenga missed a few games for Fuenlabrada recently and he is questionable for this game. Dzanan Musa won’t play for Breogan while Trae Bell-Haynes is a game-time decision.

Fuenlabrada vs. Breogan Prediction

Breogan is a much weaker team without Musa, and if Bell-Haynes doesn’t play either, they will be drastically weakened. For Fuenlabrada, this is a key game because, in case of defeat, they will almost certainly be relegated. No doubt that they will be strongly motivated in this clash.
