China Team News
The Chinese team has faced all sorts of problems after arriving in Jakarta. One of the main title favourites have been hit by an all-out Covid infection during their stay in Australia two weeks ago and as a result had to face Korea in the first round without more than half of their roster.
Their biggest stars Guo Ailun and Qi Zhou were both unavailable for the opening game along with a couple of other key pieces, including Kevin Zhang who is currently plying his trade in the NBA Summer League. Without multiple starters and role players, they simply couldn´t keep up with a star-studded Korean team led by their import Ricardo Ratliffe, who was having a field day in the paint.
Later on, China survived a massive scare in the second round against the outsiders Bahrain, winning the game at the buzzer and avoiding a huge disaster(80:79). In their final group game their star center Qi Zhou was finally back as his team routinely took down Taiwan(95:80), who were resting one of their best players.

Indonesia Team News
Indonesia have been preparing for this competition for years and even naturalized a new foreign player to make their team more competitive. Former Cleveland Cavalier Marques Bolden has been the main star of the show annihilating other teams below the rim so far, but we also have to mention the up-and-coming youngster Derrick Xzavierro.
It seems that the resignation and departure of their coach Rajko Toroman just before the tournament started had no affect on them at all. It was all about Indonesia in their opener against the shorthanded Saudi team which suffered a 26-point loss. The fans and the entire nation got excited after that win and especially after winning the recent SEA Games, but in the second round Jordan proved they still have a lot of work ahead of them before they can threaten the main Asian heavyweights.
Indonesia closed out the group with a solid showing against the untouchable Australian team suffering a 25-point loss, but they kept the margin at around 10 points until the final quarter.

China vs. Indonesia Prediction
The quality of the Indonesian national team has gone up by leaps and bounds but we doubt they will have enough to beat China. However, we should most definitely be in for a very interesting game as the Indonesian team is not expected to go down without a fight.
China´s roster is far from ideal so we will back Indonesia to cover the spread and make the game interesting.
