Couple of days ago Auckland routinely took care of business away from home against a very strong Bay Hawks side. The Tuatara continue to march on with that win and hold the top position with only one loss after seven rounds.

Yesterday the Jets finally won their first game of the season after five straight defeats. The Bulls were beaten in an impressive fashion with their new star additions Zane Najdawi, Shane Temara, Robert Crawford and John Bohannon leading the way with a combined total of 62 points.

At the start of the season Manawatu had a significantly shorthanded roster. All of the aforementioned players were unavailable so the Jets had to rely on young domestic talent and it didn´t go well. They got thrashed in the first two games but after the arrival of their main scorers they are looking much better.

All of the top teams had to work hard recently to get the win against them. Yesterday they were rewarded for their efforts after achieving a massive away win against the Franklin Bulls so they should be inspired this Monday.
