UFC Vegas 52: Lemos vs. Andrade – How to watch it live, betting preview
After Belal Muhammad finished his Vicente Luque and got the revenge for the previous defeat, a new UFC event awaits us at the Apex Forum this weekend, Vegas 52, led by a fight between the ladies in the “straw” category. The event is led by Brazilians Amanda Lemos and Jessica Andrade. The best Bosnian-Herzegovinian MMA fighter Damir Hadzovic was supposed to fight at this event, but his match against Steve Garcia was deleted from the card due to visa problems.
Amanda Lemos vs. Jessica Andrade
Former UFC champion in this category, Jessica Andrade, is fighting her compatriot Amanda Lemos who is on a great five-win streak. Andrade, although four years younger, is much more experienced than Lemos. The wars she fought with the best fighters of today, and the very way she won the belt, actually give the bookmakers to declare her the favorite in this match.
The last fight was won by Cynthia Calvillo and returned to the path of success after she was defeated in the fight for the title. Andrade is a black belt in BJJ; her martial arts background is mainly oriented toward the ground floor and wrestling. Probably all UFC fans remember her victory over Rose Namajunas. Then Jessica threw it at Rose’s head, and so she reached for her belt. Rarely are such endings seen in freestyle wrestling, when someone wins by throwing. Jessica’s biggest advantage over Lemos will certainly be the experience she gained and the quality of her opponents. This will be her 32 fights and 21 in the UFC; she has fought against almost all the big names in the two easiest categories, the already mentioned Rose and Shevchenko, also Joanne and Zhang Welli.

Her opponent Amanda Lemos has one defeat in her career, and that was on her UFC debut when she was defeated by Leslie Smith. And she accepted that match at short notice just days before Lina Lansberg was injured. She was positive for a stanozolol substance that is not allowed in the UFC, especially since USADA tightened its controls. Lemos is also a great teammate; she has the last five wins in a row, the last win is a split against Angela Hill, but the quality of the opponent she fought with is not even close to the quality of Andrade. We’ll see how he adjusts to that. And we expect an uncompromising fight, as is always the case when girls fight.
