Mike Ashley is finally gone; Newcastle is now the richest club in the world!
After 14 years of torture, Mike Ashley has finally agreed to sell Newcastle United. A long, long 18 months are behind Newcastle United fans. It seemed that potential buyers could fall throw, but on Thursday, it’s finally officially completed. It was quite an unexpected move, and even the best betting sites didn’t anticipate something like this.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund takes an 80% stake in the club, and a reminder is held by PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media. The deal is worth 300 million pounds, and Newcastle United is now the richest club globally.
The man behind Saudi Arabia’s PIF is Mohammed bin Salman who is valued at 320 billion pounds! He is ten times wealthier than the Manchester City owner.
The media has started to connect all players around the world with Newcastle, and for sure, the new era at St. James Park will begin in January when they can spend around 190 million pounds on new players.
Brighton’s player has been arrested?
The English media reported on Wednesday morning that an unnamed footballer from the Premier League was arrested. The Sun was the first to reveal the player’s name and says that Brighton’s midfielder Yves Bissouma has been taken to custody after he was suspicious of sexual assault. A 25-year-old footballer was derived from a nightclub with handcuffs, but he was released on conditional bail until 3rd November.
Brighton released a statement in which they didn’t mention Bissouma specifically but said that one of its players is assisting police with the investigation of an alleged offense.
Bissouma is one of the best players at Brighton, and during this summer, he was a target for teams from the top 6 in the Premier League. He played five games this season and has one assist.
Cristiano is player of the month of September in the Premier League
