Ernesto Valverde to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finally got sacked after Saturday’s defeat against Watford 1-4. From Sunday Man Utd board is searching for a new manager who will succeed Norwegian manager. The initial plan was Mauricio Pochettino. But, the current PSG boss rejected speculation. Before the Championship League match against Manchester City, Poch said that he is happy in Paris during the press conference.
The English media reported that Man Utd will speak with ex-Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde about the interim position until the end of the season.
The 57-year-old was Barcelona coach from 2017 to 2020, having won La Liga twice. He has been out of work since January 2020. Valverde is one of five candidates for the interim position until the end of the season, but if Man Utd can get Pochettino, they will abandon that strategy.
Ahead of Man Utd is a challenging schedule of fixtures. They are playing against Chelsea on Sunday, and after that, the next fixture is against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have only one victory in the last 7 Premier League games.
Everton fans are furious: Carlo Ancelotti compares Everton to FIAT 500?
The Italian manager left Everton last summer to take charge at Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti was Everton’s manager for a year and a half, and when Real Madrid called him, he couldn’t refuse that job. The question is if there is a manager who would reject a call from Madrid?
Carlo started to build something at Everton with signings like James Rodriguez, Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and since he left the club, Everton began to go backward with Rafa Benitez.
At the press conference before the Champions League match against Sheriff Tiraspol, one journalist asked him if it is hard to coach Real Madrid? Carlo gave a controversial answer that insults many Everton fans.
Real Madrid is currently a leader in La Liga with 30 points, and tonight they have an excellent chance of getting to the knockout phase of the Champions League. So, it looks like Carlo knows how to drive Ferrari.
Carlo Ancelotti on whether it’s hard to manage Real Madrid:
“It’s better to have a Ferrari than a Fiat 500”

Problems with injuries at Tottenham, Everton & Chelsea
Antonio Conte, Thomas Tuchel, and Rafa Benitez could face big problems in the next couple of weeks.
Tottenham’s boss confirmed that Cristian Romero’s injury is much more serious than it looked at first. The Argentinian defender suffered an injury during the international break in the match against Brazil. He missed a game against Leeds United on Sunday, but Conte said that he will be out for some time. Conte didn’t specify the length of recovery because Romero will have another scan these days.
On Tuesday evening, Chelsea comfortably beat Juventus in the 5th Round of the Champions League with 4-0, but they lost two very important players because of injuries.
N’Golo Kante was replaced in the 37th minute because of injury, and Ben Chilwell has the same problem, and he was replaced 35 minutes later. Kante and Chilwell will have detailed scans on Thursday and Friday to see how bad these injuries are.
It’s not needed to say how important are Ben Chilwell and N’Golo Kante to Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea. The Blues have a match against Man Utd on Sunday before Watford away from home on 1st December.
Chelsea is the current leader of the Premier League with 29 points, three more than second-place Man City.
Rafa Benitez is probably the unluckiest manager in the Premier League in terms of injuries. Currently, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Andre Gomes, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Tom Davies, and Yerry Mina are injured, Mason Holgate is suspended, Gylfi Sigurdsson is in prison, and a new headache for Benitez is the injury of Demarai Gray. The reports close to the club suggest that a 25-year-old midfielder will be out of action for about 8 weeks because of the injury he suffered at Etihad against Man City. Gray was replaced after just 17 minutes in that match.
Demarai Gray was signed from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for 2 million pounds. He played 12 games and scored three goals.
Story of the week: He beat cancer and returned to football
Nine months ago, Stockport County midfielder Connor Jennings received news that no one wants to hear. He was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.
After that news, he stopped playing football and focused on recovery and receiving treatments. Doctors said that there was little chance he would play football again, and the most important thing was fighting and beating cancer.
Nine months later, 30-year-old Connor Jennings beat cancer and returned on the pitch. Yesterday he was in the team for a game against King’s Lynn Town in National League.
He started on the bench and came on in the 81st minute. Only ten minutes later, he scored the fifth goal for his team in a 5-0 victory.
I probably didn’t think I’d get a moment like that again in my career. It’s been a rollercoaster. But you’ve always got hope, and the entire football club was great to me through this entire period.
