Two new managers have been appointed in Premier League this week. After weeks of searching for a new manager, Newcastle United finally has one. Eddie Howe is a new manager of The Magpies, and he signed the two-and-a-half-year deal. The ex-Bournemouth manager finally got a job after more than a year since he left Bournemouth.
Howe will have a difficult task. He must keep Newcastle in Premier League. His new club is 19th in Premier League without a win after 11 games. The new owners will provide a good signing in January, but Howe must turn this side around and start winning the games.
His debut will be at St James Park against Brentford after the international break. Will the duo Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser be born again with Eddie Howe, like in Bournemouth days?
Apart from Newcastle, Aston Villa also has a new manager. Steven Gerrard has returned to the Premier League. This time like a manager. The Liverpool legend left Glasgow Rangers where he won the title last year and took the opportunity to manage a club in England.
Steven Gerrard started his coach career in 2017 in the Liverpool U18 team. A year later, he took charge of the Rangers and won the Scottish Premiership last season—Rangers’ first league title in 10 years. Gerrard’s first match on the bench will be at Villa Park against Brighton & Hove Albion on 20th November.
The match that we will all be waiting for is on 11th December at Anfield.
Norwich has sacked their manager too. Daniel Farke left the club, and we are now waiting for his successor. The English media are reporting that Frank Lampard is a solid favorite to be the next manager of Norwich, and he could be appointed during the international break.
It will be great for Premier League to have that number of ex-players in the manager position. Patrick Vieira, Mikel Arteta, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Graham Potter…

The award for the Manager of the Month goes to Thomas Tuchel. Chelsea has won all their four games during October with a goal difference of 14:1. This is the second award for Tuchel. Last time he has won it was in March this year.

With a new manager comes new ideas. Antonio Conte is known for a strict training regime. Italian manager changes a lot of the things in Tottenham’s training center. Antonio Conte banned ketchup, mayonnaise, he cut out heavy food, and even he cut down a fruit juice. Antonio Conte is unhappy because some players are overweight, and he cut down sandwiches after training sessions. Also, cooking with oil and butter must be kept to a minimum. These things Conte had done at Chelsea when he was their boss. He obviously knows how to change things and to win trophies with clubs where he has worked. He has done that with Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter, but it will require a lot of work to do similar things with Tottenham.
Reports suggested that the players are delighted with Conte’s appointment, and his first-week training regime was much different than Nuno’s. During the international break, players that are not with national teams will have double training sessions.
Things are starting to change dramatically at Tottenham.
