Hello, Premier League fans! Today we will review some exciting news in the past seven days in English Premier League. So sit tight and enjoy the show!
Marcelo Bielsa leaves Leeds United
The Argentinian left Elland Road after three and a half years at the club after Saturday’s defeat against Tottenham Hotspur. The results were below expectation this season. The injuries have crippled the squad. During the whole season, Marcelo Bielsa played without 4 or 5 key players in every game, and with a situation like that, Leeds isn’t capable of fighting for a better place on the table.
After 26 games played, Leeds is in 16th place on the table with 23 points, only two points above Burnley, who is in the relegation zone.
Marcelo Bielsa took charge of Leeds in 2018. He transformed Leeds into one of the most attractive football sides in Europe. He broke the 16-year curse and was promoted to the Premier League. In the club’s first season in the top flight since 2004, they finished in 9th place.
During his tenure, many players made huge progress in their careers. One of them is Kalvin Phillips, who became a regular in the National team.
Leeds United fans will always love Marcelo Bielsa. After the promotion to the Premier League, they named one street in Leeds after him, and after the club announced yesterday that he is leaving, many fans came to say goodbye to him.
El Loco, the English football will miss you.

The deadliest duo in Premier League history!
Tottenham Hotspur duo broke the Premier League record. It was the 85th minute of the game at Elland Road when Harry Kane got the ball in his half, and with the precise long ball, he found his teammate Heung-Min Son who scored a goal. At that moment these two incredible players broke the Premier League record for most goal combinations.
They combined for 37 goals during their time at Tottenham, and now they are ahead of Chelsea duo Didier Drogba – Frank Lampard, who combined for 36 goals.
Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son had played together since 2015 when the Korean striker was signed from Bayer Leverkusen. Their first goal was at Stoke in September 2016, when Son assisted Kane.

Liverpool is now leading in Carabao Cup trophies
Liverpool is this season’s winner in the Carabao Cup after beating Chelsea on penalties 12-11. After fantastic 120 minutes of football, somehow there were no goals, and the match went to the penalties. Every player in both squads scored from the spot, and in the last round, all came on goalkeepers. Liverpool’s goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher scored, but Chelsea’s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who came on in 120th minutes just for penalties, missed his shot, and Liverpool had won.
This was the 9th trophy in the Carabao Cup for Liverpool, and they are now recorders with one more than Manchester City, who has 8. This is the first trophy for Liverpool in this competition since 2012 when they beat Cardiff City in the final. This was the fourth time that Chelsea lost in the final of this competition.
