Hello eSports fans, and welcome to our weekly review! Many things happened in the past couple of days, so we will not make this introduction long. Let’s start with the latest news, stories, latest results, and what holds for next week! Also, don’t forget to read our Free eSports Predictions!

CS: GO

Today we are going to break down Group C from the ESL Pro League LAN tournament. Like in earlier articles, we are doing a recap every week for each group. Group C starts off with 6 teams, as usual, those are Godsent, BIG, Team Liquid, Party Astronauts, Movistar Riders, Players (ex: Gambit). The format is pretty simple, each game is a best of 3 and you play each other once. The top 3 teams advance to the playoffs, where the bottom 3 are out.

If we start with Party Astronauts, they finished the week with a 0-5 record, meaning they lost every single game. They do not look good at all, however with a more experience in the bigger leagues such as European Teams, considering they’re from North America, they could easily improve their game. Next up we have Godsent who finished 5th, with a 1-4 record. This Brazilian team has underperformed heavily and not met up to the hype they got when they first put up this roster. Not sure what the future holds for this team. In 4th place, we have BIG, another team that has also been disappointing this year. They are playing with Krimbo and FaveN which are the new additions, however, they are still struggling. These 3 teams above will NOT make the playoffs.

Next up we have the teams that qualified. In the 3rd place, we have Team Liquid. This team is either hit or miss, if they all show up on the server they look like a top team but that’s a big if. They finish the group 3-2, meaning they take the last seed. In the 2nd place, we have Players (also known as Gambit). Due to the Russia – Ukraine conflict, Russian organizations are banned from competing in CSGO until further, so that’s why they ended up with another name. They finished in group 4-1, and they still look like a top team which is good.

In the first place, we have Movistar Riders, finishing in Group C in 1st place, with a record of 5-0. This surprised most people because they were pretty much underdogs in most of these games, however they delivered and showed that hard work pays off. Super impressed with how they looked, and we can’t wait to see them in the playoffs.
