Fantasy Premier League – Top 3 differentials for GW 8
By The FPL Bois
The FPL Bois, in collaboration with Bet Experts portal, brings you the Top 3 differentials for Gameweek 8, which are projected to do well. Knowing that many FPL managers have a lot of problems at the beginning of the season, we decided on this article. Maybe these three will bring the upper hand and a sufficient number of points in GW8. Especially after the last round was postponed, many FPL managers are ready to make some progress.
Miguel Almiron (Newcastle United) – Owned by 1.9%
Bournemouth have the 3rd worst xGC (expected goal conceded) in the league this season and have conceded most of their chances through their left flank (as shown below in the image posted by @fantasypaedia). They have conceded 100 crosses down that flank, more than twice as many as their right flank and 25 more than any other team.
Almiron will be operating from that wing for Newcastle and has looked good this season. He hit the post in the last game and had a brilliant run in the pre-season games as well. Considering the fact that Newcastle haven’t scored a lot themselves, we are backing Almiron for this Gameweek, and he has the potential to be the ultimate differential of the week.
Son Heung-Min (Tottenham) – Owned by 8.7%
Leicester are in the Bottom 5 for xGC (expected goal conceded) this season. Losing their best defender – Fofana, and their captain – Kasper Schmeichel, has not been easy, and they are all over the place at the moment. Brendon Rodgers’s tactics hasn’t helped either, and the manager is on the verge of being sacked himself. Leicester also concedes a lot of chances from both their wings.
Son is someone who has not had a great start to the season. He has lacked confidence but got into good positions in the last two games. If there is one game that can bring Son back in form, it is this Leicester game. The home advantage can be massive, and we feel Son can punish Leicester, who have already conceded 16 goals in 6 games.
Leon Bailey (Aston Villa) – Owned by 6.1%
Aston Villa haven’t had a great start to the season, but their fixtures turn from this Gameweek, and we are hoping so will their form. One player who has impressed even in this dull phase from Villa is Leon Bailey. He had a great preseason, but poor team selection from Steven Gerrard has cost Villa and us (FPL managers) a fair few points.
Southampton have conceded six goals in their three away games. Most of the chances have been conceded from their left flank (as shown below in the image posted by @fantasypaedia), where Bailey operates, and we are backing the 4.7m midfielder to do well this week.
