Fantasy Premier League GW14 – What to do?
An extremely interesting and exciting Premier League weekend is ahead of us. The potential for FPL points is huge, so every player in the starting line-up of a Fantasy Premier League team is crucial and his performance can be decisive.
Most of the favorites in this round have a favorable schedule. There is no distinct derby, so many premium FPL players can potentially explode. Manchester City plays against Leicester, Liverpool welcomes Leeds, and Arsenal will host Nottingham Forest…
The players of these teams will be the most represented, which should not be surprising because all three teams are expected to win convincingly. Among the less popular teams are Brentford and Everton players, who have a favorable schedule in this round.
GOALKEEPER
David Raya (£4.6m) – 8.0% TSB
Brentford plays against Wolves at home and Nottingham away in the next three rounds, so the Bee goalkeeper is a good option at the moment. Before the debacle in the previous round, David Raya (£4.6m) scored 10 FPL points in two consecutive games, which is an indication of good form.
DEFENDERS
Joao Cancelo (£7.4m) – 55.7% TSB
The most reliable FPL acquisition among defenders. On Tuesday against Dortmund, he played only 45 minutes, so he will almost certainly be among the starters in the Foxes vs. Citizens match.
Ben White (£4.6m) – 7.6% TSB
Arsenal has a good schedule until the start of the World Cup. On Sunday, they welcome Nottingham Forest, the last-ranked team in the league, so a clean sheet is almost guaranteed. Ben White (£4.6m) played only 16 minutes against PSV on Thursday, so he enters Sunday’s clash fresh. He registered an assist in the last round, which was his second in the last four matches.
Kieran Trippier (£5.8m) – 60.5% TSB
The fact that he is the most represented defender in FPL teams this season best illustrates the level of quality of Kieran Trippier (£5.8m). He has collected 66 FPL points so far and is the most effective defender.
MIDFIELDERS
Gabriel Martinelli (£6.8m) – 48.8% TSB
The agile Brazilian has not returned in the last two rounds, which did not please the large percentage of FPL managers who believe in him. But Gabriel Martinelli (£6.8m) is a constant threat to the opponent’s goal and for that money, there is no better FPL option. The duel against Nottingham’s weak defense is an ideal opportunity to end the goalless streak.
Alex Iwobi (£5.5m) – 1.6% TSB
This Everton midfielder is the most creative of the Toffees. He has registered five assists so far and brought more points than many more expensive midfielders.
Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) – 31.8% TSB
The Egyptian disappointed against Nottingham Forest but quickly disproved the critics with a goal and an assist against Ajax in the Champions League. Liverpool’s next opponent is Leeds, and Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) knows how to deal with this opponent.
Miguel Almiron (£5.4m) – 16.4% TSB
Probably the player who is in the best shape in the entire league. Miguel Almiron (£5.4m) scored four goals in the last four games. In addition, he registered two assists, bringing a total of 30 points in this period. Newcastle is playing against Aston Villa in the upcoming round, so there is no reason why the fast Paraguayan should not be in every FPL team.
FORWARDS
Harry Kane (£11.5m) – 23.4% TSB
Tottenham’s form has been on the decline lately, but Harry Kane (£11.5m) continues to collect FPL points continuously. In the last match against Newcastle, he scored the only goal for Spurs, which was his tenth this season. They will visit Bournemouth in this round, so here is an ideal opportunity to continue their goal-scoring streak.
Erling Haaland (£12.2m) – 83.2% TSB
Many are concerned about the health status of Erling Haaland (£12.2m), who was replaced at halftime of the duel with Dortmund. At the time of writing, the extent of the injury was not yet known, but we believe that it is not of a serious nature. The Norwegian striker is our first choice for captain in this round.
Darwin Nunez (£8.8m) – 6.5% TSB
The Uruguayan missed the duel with Nottingham but was among the starters in Amsterdam. He scored a goal in that match and missed several other great opportunities. We expect Darwin Nunez (£8.8m) to be productive against Leeds as well.
