Roberto Bautista Agut
Due to injury problems, Roberto Bautista Agut played only at Masters in Madrid between March and June where he lost to Daniel Evans. He returned 10 days ago at the ATP 500 tournament in Halle. There, he reached quarterfinals where he was defeated by Daniil Medvedev. Bautista Agut took revenge on the Russian tennis player in the quarterfinals this week, as he defeated him with a convincing 2:0 (6:3, 6:2) victory. Although Spanish tennis players generally like to play on clay the most, Bautista Agut is not like them. He prefers faster surfaces, and grass may be his favorite. Wimbledon is the only grand slam where he played semifinals and that was back in 2019. He also has one ATP title on the grass, which he won back in 2014 in Hertogenbosch. Of the 20 finals he played in his career, 18 were on fast surfaces which speaks about where Bautista Agut feels most comfortable. He has not lost a single set in Mallorca this week and feels big confidence at home before the final match against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Stefanos Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas hates to play on the grass. It’s a surface that doesn’t fit his style of play at all. However, this week he managed to reach his first ATP final on the grass and he’ll have a chance to win the title. Tsitsipas also had a lot of luck as his opponents on the way to the final were Ilya Ivashka, Marcos Giron and Benjamin Bonzi. Roberto Bautista Agut will be a much bigger challenge than all previous rivals, but Tsitsipas is certainly confident after he finally managed to record a few consecutive wins on grass. Greek tennis player participated in Wimbledon four times in his career and was eliminated three times in the first round. This is the third tournament he is playing in June this year, all with the aim to be as ready as possible for the biggest tennis event that will start on Monday in London. The problem for Tsitsipas on grass is his one-handed backhand because very rarely he can hit the ball the way he wants, so he plays a slice on almost every occasion. That gives an opportunity for his opponents to develop good tactics against him and achieve a good result.

H2H
These two players played twice against each other and both times Stefanos Tsitsipas won. First time that was the case in the Australian Open quarterfinals back in 2019 when Tsitsipas won 3:1 (7:5, 4:6, 6:4, 7:6). They met for the second time at the ATP Cup last year and score was 2:0 (7:5, 7:5).
Bautista Agut vs. Tsitsipas Prediction
Bautista Agut likes to play on grass and this surface suits his style of play much more than Tsitsipas. It is to be expected that the Spanish tennis player will win at least one set in this match which should be enough to cover the spread. It also won’t be a surprise if he manages to win the title.
