Bay Hawks vs. Otago Nuggets Prediction, Tips & Odds – Jul. 11, 2022 09:30 CET

After not playing for almost two weeks, the Bay Hawks return to action this Monday in the New Zealand NBL. They will welcome the Otago Nuggets whose team couldn´t cope with the absences of two starters and lost to the Wellington Saints yesterday. The Nuggets will try to make amends and keep themselves alive in the playoffs race but winning away against the Hawks with a limited roster will be very demanding.

Bay Hawks Team News
In the middle of the last month the Hawks were looking impressive. They played some of the best offensive basketball we have seen this entire season and managed to string together two wins over Southland and Taranaki. Their winning streak ended when they encountered problems against the league leaders Nelson Giants two rounds ago and unexpectedly lost at home by almost 10 points(76:85).
Just a couple of days after that game they had to face the surging Manawatu Jets away from home without the services of two of their best players and key starters. Hyrum Harris and Ethan Rusbatch were with the national team so it´s no surprise their team lost to the inferior Jets side(90:87).
The @manawatujets hold on for a 90-87 win over the @NZBayHawks in Palmy! @Rob_Wealthy7 scored 25 PTS to lead the Jets and John Bohannon had 11-15-5 & 6 BLKs 👀

Otago Nuggets Team News
Led by their superstar Tahjere McCall, the Nuggets were poised to fight for the title with their early season form but then their roster started falling apart. McCall went to pursue his NBA dream while several other regulars have also been absent recently because of international duties.
Otago are without two key contributors who are playing at the Asia Cup and will experience similar problems like in their yesterday´s game against Wellington. They did their best away from home with a very limited roster but in the end fell short and lost 100:88. A back-to-back game is something they definitely don´t want at the moment with their extremely short rotation but they have nothing to lose and could be dangerous.
🚨🚨🚨 @saintswgtn have protected their home court tonight, with a 100-88 victory over the Otago Nuggets.

Bay Hawks vs. Otago Nuggets Prediction
The Hawks also won´t have their ideal lineup because one of their starters, Jordan Hunt, is representing New Zealand at the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup. However, they have plenty of firepower and will enter the game as clear favourites against the shorthanded Nuggets. The hosts should be able to secure a routine win but the spread is too high and doesn´t have any value.
Overall, we decided to back the Total Under because the guests are playing their second game in just 48 hours without two crucial pieces while the hosts are also without a key player and have been without a game for two weeks.
